Middleweight Interior Designer
24/03/2015A well-established and award winning multi-discipline interior design practice is seeking a Middleweight Interior Designer for their reputable Corporate Workplace team. This is a fantastic role that offers great career progression, and a chance to work on projects to create innovative spaces to enhance people’s place of work. The successful candidate will work in the heart of the financial district in Hong Kong, and have at least 3 years of relevant work experience with an impressive portfolio to demonstrate their understanding of how design can be used to create remarkable spaces.
Key Requirements:
- University / College degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in corporate workplace projects.
- Experience in fit-out, space analysis, and workplace strategy.
- Creative, with a motivated mindset for innovative designs.
- Proficient in preparing design proposals, tender documents, and construction details.
- Experience in project management, and liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Focused, well-organized, and efficient time management Proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop; 3D Studio Max, Sketch Up, Indesign an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Chinese is a must; Mandarin is an advantage.

S+D is currently undertaking a diverse range of new projects, including ground-up construction, commercial renovations, creative workplaces, and custom residences.
Position Requirements: We are seeking a talented individual with the ability to work both independently in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a project team. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in conceptual design, design presentation, and construction documentation. Strong graphic, organization and communication skills are essential. Proficiency with developing construction documents and experience in Revit and AutoCAD are required. 3D modeling skills in 3ds Max, Rhino and SketchUp are preferred. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or have permanent residence status.
