Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking an Intermediate/Junior Project Architect to work under our licensed, LEED Architect in our Raleigh office. Summit is committed to training and advancement of our employees. We are looking for someone with strong graphic presentation skills as well as the readiness and initiative to engage new opportunities and learn and grow with our company. Under the guidance of the managing Architect, our Intermediate/Junior Project Architect will develop small to mid-sized commercial projects, from schematic design through construction documents for projects that range in complexity and type.
Requirements:
- Architectural degree from an accredited institution.
- 2-5 years of professional experience and working towards licensure.
- Solid understanding of drawing conventions, file organization, external references and technical accuracy.
- Documentation of project from Concept through Schematic and Design Development.
- Creation of contract documents.
- Application of building codes, architectural standards and constructability on project documents.
- Creative problem solving ability.
- Expert knowledge of 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Highly motivated with a commitment to design excellence.
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic presentation skills.
- Work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to learn from senior designers and architects in a mentoring environment.

World leading connective entertainment design studio is looking for an energetic and experienced Senior Product Designer to join their creative team. Reporting to the creative director, and collaborating with communication, user interface and visual trends designers, you will contribute to and drive the product from initial design concept through to completion.
Consumer electronics experience is preferable. You must have an interest in emerging technologies and an understanding of user experience, contextual design and association to materials.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from concept through to production.
- Ensure overall design quality, innovation and creative vision.
- Work closely with business marketing, account executives, creative director, and clients.
- Participate in project planning as well as execution.
- Lead and mentor junior designers.
- Successfully create presentations to share with your seniors and key stakeholders.
- Deliver innovative solutions to complex design problems.
- Clearly present and communicate your ideas.
Requirements:
- Master / Bachelor's degree in industrial/product or other relevant design field.
- Minimum 6-8 years relevant working experience.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to clearly communicate your ideas visually and verbally.
- Ability to communicate your concepts through exceptional hand sketches.
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and rendering (Rhino and Keyshot preferred).
- Excellent design sense and outstanding creative problem solving skills.
- Understanding of form, color, materials and finishes.
- Strong understanding of materials and processes.
- Must have an eye for detail, and a passion for quality.
- Flexible, energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
- Consumer electronics experience required. Portfolio of audio/speaker systems preferred.
- Impressive portfolio that demonstrates innovative design concepts and an understanding of the design process.
