Interior Designer
06/02/2015CCS Architecture, an award winning bi-coastal architectural firm is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated interior designer with 5-7 years of experience to join our expanding New York office. High-end residential and hospitality/restaurant experience required. Applicant should have experience in Schematic Design through Construction Administration, AutoCAD proficiency and 3-D modeling.
Our casual yet professional, energetic and collaborative office environment offers great growth potential for motivated individuals who are looking to advance their careers and are willing to take on responsibility. Our work is exciting and diverse - from New York hotels to minimalist San Francisco town homes - with projects spanning from coast to coast.
Applicants should have experience in the following:
- Interior Architecture & strong detailing skills.
- Hospitality Experience.
- Ability to work closely with Design Principal and Interior Design Director.
- Excellent AutoCAD & Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Develop FF&E schemes, maintain FF&E budgets, and produce specifications.
- Ability to create 3D renderings (Sketchup).
- Outstanding Graphic skills and ability to create presentation boards.

- PC platform.

Our Brisbane studio has been recognised with some prestigious awards recently, with the Advanced Engineering Building (AEB) at the University of Queensland being awarded the Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture, the Emil Sodersten Award for Interior Architecture and an Award for Sustainable Architecture at the 2014 Australian National Architecture Awards.
The studio is now looking for a talented Senior Design Architect to join our dynamic team. To qualify for this role, you must have strong conceptual design skills proven through built design outcomes. This role will see you working closely with Design Leaders across a number of high profile, multidisciplinary projects with an emphasis on the early stages of large scale urban projects, feasibility testing and infrastructure integration. With several projects in start-up phase, you will apply your strong design focus and design sensibility to a range of commercial, health, education and science, transport and urban design projects across the practice.
As an experienced designer, your strong design and leadership skills will see you establishing effective working relationships across the practice internationally, as well as actively contributing to the design culture in the Brisbane studio. Your passion for driving design excellence will be instrumental in challenging design boundaries.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of seven years’ experience working within a multidisciplinary environment across a range of sectors and project scales and have highly developed visual and verbal communication skills. You will be comfortable presenting to and engaging with varied audiences, as well as delivering and facilitating design based workshops.
