Our client, a leading International Interior Design firm, is looking to recruit a Senior Interior Designer specialized in retail or hospitality interiors. The Hong Kong team is growing quickly and a strong Designer is needed to lead the growing team. You must have wealth of experience in retail or hospitality projects across Hong Kong and China. Working with the Design Director you will be responsible for the entire design process from concept through to completion. Creativity is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with Design Team to develop innovative concepts.
- Clearly present concepts to Design Director, Clients, and Developers.
- Provide design direction and ensure follow through.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality design documents and presentation materials.
- Select and specify appropriate materials, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Direct junior designer and manage production teams.
- Liaise between client, operators, and developers as needed.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Manage project hand-over and monitor fitting-out progress.
- Provide technical drafting support, when required.
Requirements:
- University / College degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Minimum 10 years work experience in Interior Design focused in Retail or Hospitality.
- Highly creative and have the ability to generate new design concepts.
- Focused, well-organized, positive attitude, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and able to work independently and in a team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and Photoshop.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Must be willing to travel.

Kinlin Rutherfurd Architects specializes in high-end residential Architecture. Our current projects include Manhattan townhouse renovations, apartment renovations and full pre-war building re-designs and renovations, as well as waterfront vacation homes.
We are currently looking for a Junior Architect with strong design and technical skills and 2- 3 years of experience. The right candidate will be highly motivated; detail oriented, and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The person in this position will work with a Project Architect on several projects and will be involved in all areas of work. Primary responsibilities will be the production of AutoCAD drawings for all drawing types: Schematic Presentation, Design Development, Permit, and Construction Documents. This person will also work on presentation drawings and documents.
Requirements:
- A professional degree (advanced degree preferred)
- A minimum of 2+ years experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe, MS software and other design and modeling software.
- An interest in understanding how buildings go together, and in producing construction documents.
- Currently living in the New York City metropolitan area and legally able to work in the United States.
