SCOPE Art Show is seeking an intern architect for possible full-time employment. With over 50 art shows spanning more than a decade, SCOPE has solidified its position as the premier showcase for international emerging contemporary art and multi-disciplinary creative programming. SCOPE’s extensive reach enables an unrivaled opportunity for networking with art patrons, creative professionals and a culturally relevant public audience. As cultural engineers of place, SCOPE is constantly activating spaces within cities to experience and share in the love for art. Our clients are gallery owners who participate in the shows to display and sell their collections of contemporary artwork. Our three primary shows occur in Miami Beach, New York City, and Basel, Switzerland.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work and design independently and proactively in a fast pace environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2014, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
- Fast and detailed 3D rendering skills are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Produce comprehensive sets of site plans and floor plans which coordinate the construction and installation of temporary venues.
- On-site coordination of construction with respect to drawings produced.
- Record and maintain data related to client orders and special conditions.
- Create clear presentations in 2D and 3D format for communication with multiple audiences such as clients and sponsors.
- Communicate effectively with the team, clients and vendors related to the planning and construction of each show.

EDMONDS + LEE ARCHITECTS is full-service architectural and interior design firm located in the San Francisco, California. The firm specializes in contemporary, modern design with a focus on individual, customized solutions. The office and its work has been widely published and has been the recipient of numerous awards including an Emerging Talent Award Winner at the 2009 Monterey Design Conference and New Practices San Francisco, which recognized new and emerging architecture firms that have undertaken innovative strategies in both projects and practice.
We are currently seeking individuals to join us in San Francisco and assist us with our on-going and future projects.
Candidates for this position will be responsible for design work and 3D visualizations as well as assisting with the production of construction documents. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary and candidates will be exposed to all phases of architectural practice.
Candidates should have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture.
- Previous work experience producing construction documents.
- Full working knowledge of Autocad (Revit a plus).
- Highly developed skills and talent in 3D modeling (Rhino/Grasshopper).
- Highly developed skills and talent in Rendering (Maxwell or Vray).
- Knowledge of Adobe and other presentation software.
