Junior / Intermediate Architect

YUNStudio Architecture is a small Brooklyn based architecture office that specializes in high end residential work and commercial adaptive re-use projects. We are seeking a talented Junior to Intermediate Architect that is highly motivated with great work ethic and positive attitude. Applicants should have a strong desire to contribute, be willing to take on responsibilities, be organized and enjoy having a meaningful role being involved in all aspects of the work. The right candidate should be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with principal, staff, consultants, and contractors. As a small office, you will work on multiple projects and be involved in all phases of the work. This is a great opportunity to gain a lot of experience and grow with us.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3-6 years post graduate work experience including construction documentation and construction administration.
- Proactive and have the ability to meet project timelines a must.
- Experience and ability to coordinate and produce construction documents with little supervision.
- Excellent AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Sketch Up, Word and Excel skills are required.
- Hold a Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; fluency in written and spoken English.
- Must be currently living in the NYC area; US citizen or green card holder.

Qualified Architect

We will be interviewing in the new-year for a RIBA qualified architect with 3-5+ years post part III experience. Your previous projects should include specific experience of working on some of the following highly serviced buildings for example high spec and sustainable University buildings, laboratories and schools.

Applicants should combine demonstrable design and communication skills with proven technical and organisational abilities. Have experience of producing detailed construction information and carrying projects through to completion on site. Familiarity with UK Construction legislation and technology in practice including a sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent English speaking and writing skills, be well organised and have a proven track record of having worked independently and as part of a team through all work stages of projects. Experience in leading specific packages of a project or in team management is advantageous.

Fluency in Revit, Sketchup and the Adobe Creative Suite is a minimum.

You will be based in our Cambridge city centre studio as part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team of designers working on and delivering high quality building environments for our clients.
