Architect with 5 years post qualification UK experience sought for small design practice. We are a friendly multidisciplinary team based in Shoreditch.

The practice has a growing portfolio of high specification residential work with creative clients. Our work is contemporary and tightly tailored to our clients and their homes. Our work is predominately located in London.

Candidates must have strong presentation skills with control of the detail. They must be able to follow a design process with accuracy and discipline. They should have construction experience and be able to apply it to their detailing. They will be able to understand the perspective of others clients/planners/contractors and adapt their communications accordingly. Vectorworks, Sketchup, InDesign and Photoshop experience are essential.

This is an opportunity for a motivated candidate to work on design led projects, take responsibility for all stages within projects, and work directly with clients, contractors and specialist consultants.

Responsibilities:

- Project planning from inception to completion by attending all meetings related to the projects, site visits, material sourcing, workshop and hearing.
- Review and comment designs of all disciplines and make fair judgement or proposal to management.
- Study and prepare project feasibility.
- Plan for implementation of projects and closely monitor work progress against timeline.
- Manage and control Consultants of all disciplines.
- Manage and control work site with contractors.

Requirements:

- At least Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certificate in Architecture.
- Minimum 3 years or working experience.
- Familiar with various authority submission procedures and guidelines.
- Technically sound in design guideline for high rise development.
- Proficient in preparing full set of drawings using AutoCAD.
- Able to value engineering design and propose cost saving solution.
