Powe Studio Architects has an opportunity in our Charlottesville, VA studio for a technically expert senior architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience in detailing complex mid-rise and high rise facilities, to join our design team to lead production of Charlottesville and Washington, DC projects, generating design detailing in close collaboration with our Principal. We are seeking a senior architect with a passion for making a significant positive impact on urban places.

An ideal candidate to join our team in this leadership role would have the following qualifications:

- Professional architecture degree (5 year or Masters program).
- Licensed Architect in Virginia and Washington, DC, preferably NCARB certified.
- Minimum of 10 years technical architectural experience producing construction documents.
- Passion for detailing complex facilities; experience detailing multifamily, office and mixed-use facilities.
- Understanding that building detailing is a crucial design development focus as well as a rigorous technical discipline.
- Facility in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborative approach to design and technical excellence.
- Significant expertise in building codes and regulations.
- LEED accreditation a plus.

We have been approached by a medium size architectural practice, which specialises in commercial, industrial and warehousing projects, as they are urgently seeking a job running qualified Architect to join their busy sociable studio early in 2015.

To be considered for this exceptional role you must possess solid AutoCAD skills, possess proven job running skills, come with quality all round project experience and have worked on "live" commercial projects as the majority of their work is realised on site.

You must be an excellent team player, have the ability to liaise with external consultants, contractors and planners whilst taking on a fair amount of project responsibility.
