Junior Designer
21/02/2015McMAHON-BAEK is a small firm established in 2014 working in high-end residential design. The office, located in Gowanus, Brooklyn, also has a small studio with 3D printing, woodworking, and ceramics capabilities for developing independent projects by McMAHON-BAEK.
McMAHON-BAEK is currently seeking a Junior Designer to work in their design studio located in Brooklyn, NY.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a collaborative office environment.
- Demonstrated ability to produce documentation for built projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and self-monitor progress in order to meet expectations.
- Professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, at least one 3D modeling program, at least one 3D rendering/visualization program, and Adobe products as part of the design and documentation process.
- Structural and detail design experience a plus.
- US work authorization required.
Salary is competitive and based on experience and skill level. We offer fully paid health, vision, and dental insurance for employees, as well as paid vacation days and holidays. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Junior Architect
21/02/2015Melander Architects, Inc. is a design-oriented architectural firm looking for a junior architect with 1 to 3 years of professional experience. Our work includes cultural, commercial and residential projects with an emphasis on high-end single family homes. We maintain an open, collaborative team approach to design and a collegial studio atmosphere.
Applicants should have excellent design and communication skills (both written and oral). The position requires a self-motivated team member who is proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with Photoshop and Sketchup.
