We are a dynamic and contemporary design firm that specializes in new construction/renovation of residential and mixed-used buildings. Rapidly expanding with a unique opportunity for long term growth potential. We are currently looking for a full time, experienced "Project Designer" to join our design team.
- Must have minimum of 3-5(+) years NYC experience designing & leading small to large/complex buildings.
- Must have a Bachelor's of Architecture.
- Must be a very organized leader with excellent communication skills.
- Confident enough to be the liaison between office, clients, contractors and consultants.
- Must have experience with CD's, building & facade design.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Knowledge of NYC zoning and building code.
- Must be mastered in AutoCAD Architecture [v.2014 a plus].
- Experience with residential and mixed-use buildings a plus.
- Strong detailing is a plus.
- Job lead / captain, managing projects from concept to finish is a huge plus.
- Strong renderers will be considered as well.

We are a small, busy island practice, looking for a creative and motivated Architect to assist with the immediate delivery of several small to medium sized projects from design through to completion.
Based on North Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, we deliver high quality, sustainable design on a varied range of projects throughout the Western Isles and West Highlands. These include commercial, community, arts, recreation, education and private residential projects. Our work is inspired by the outstanding landscape which surrounds us and informed by the challenges of creating quality buildings in an extreme environment.
Design and Technical Skills: you must demonstrate design flair combined with technical strength as you will be closely involved in the design and procurement of a range of projects from inception to completion. Previous site experience is an advantage.
Personal Qualities: you will be self-motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic about your work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to fit into a small team and respond flexibly to a busy and varied workload.
IT Skills: you must be experienced in the use of AutoCAD and 3D visualisation software including Revit, Sketchup and Photoshop.
Driving Licence required.
