DUB studios is seeking an entry-level Architect / Junior Designer, with education and experience in Architecture, to assist with the design and development of custom, high-end residential projects that are in all phases of project development: Schematic Design through Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
DUB studios is a small, full-service Architectural firm, focusing primarily on custom residential projects.
Required qualifications:
- Professional degree from an accredited college of Architecture..
- High level of proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, & Adobe suite.
- 1-2 years of experience working on design documents and drawings for construction, permit and construction.
- Strong verbal, writing and communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and energetic individual. Willing to pitch in on all levels.
- Well-organized and reliable team member with initiative and ability to follow through.
- Legal working status in the U.S.
- Engagement in IDP and ARE process for licensure is a plus.
Primary responsibilities:
- Create SketchUp models and CAD drawings that are used to prepare design and presentation drawings / documents.
- Prepare design and construction drawings in conjunction with other team members & Principals.
- Integrate information / drawings / data from consultants and suppliers into Construction Drawings / Documents.
- Research materials and assemblies for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
- Select and prepare material finish boards / binders.
- Research Building Code Requirements.
- Coordinate with various City / Governmental Agencies with regards to applicable Zoning / Development standards.
- Visit project sites under various states of construction, and assist with Construction Administration activities.
