Shubin + Donaldson Architects in Santa Barbara is seeking a motivated Architect with 7-10 years of experience in publication-quality commercial and residential projects as an addition to our team. S+D is currently undertaking a diverse range of new projects, including ground-up construction, commercial renovations, creative workplaces, and custom residences.
Position requirements:
Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in conceptual design, design presentation, and construction documentation. We are seeking a talented individual with the ability to work both independently in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a project team. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Proficiency with developing construction documents and experience in Revit and are required. AutoCAD skills are required as well. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or have permanent residence status.

GLS Landscape/Architecture, an award winning interdisciplinary design studio in San Francisco, is looking for a talented mid-level landscape designer/landscape architect to join the firm. As one of the dozen staff members at GLS, you will work on high profile award winning projects in a spacious open-studio setting. As a project manager you will develop a project through all phases from conceptualization to construction. Candidate must be passionate about both landscape architecture and architecture. Candidate criteria are as follows:
- Excellent digital visualization skills and good freehand graphics are a must.
- Candidate must display strong external communication skills and confidence in interacting with internal team members and clients.
- Candidate must think globally while paying close attention to all details for the project and for office standards.
- Must be highly organized, efficient, self-motivated/self-directing, reliable, proficient at multi-tasking; must work well under pressure, ask questions as needed.
- Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and/or Architecture.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Must have experience with working drawings from Design Development through Construction documents.
- Strong ability in Adobe Suites, Sketch Up, Rhino and Office. Knowledge of Revit and web design will be a plus.
LEED Certification or in progress to be LEED Certified a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder preferred; candidates with local or regional knowledge preferred.
