White Arkitekter in Copenhagen has an urgent need for an architect to handle the visual work representing the company’s architectural projects and build up a visual 'style'. The work will range from building up 3d models to advanced 3d rendering and will also include ad hoc two dimensional illustrations. You will work as a part of different project teams and you are expected to have a deep understanding of complex architectural problems, representation of architectural materials, a good understanding of light in different context and an artistic approach to architectural representation. You will also be expected to act as a team player, with an understanding of the variety of audiences to whom the visuals will communicate, as well as contribute to the development of the projects in a dynamic process with the rest of the project team.

Requirements:

- Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and/or Danish.
- Documented work with advanced architectural renderings.
- Advanced skills in Autocad, Rhino, Sketchup, Maxwell, V-Ray, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
- Proactive, effective, and confident in a busy environment.

About White Arkitekter

White is one of Scandinavia's leading architectural practices and amongst the ten largest in Europe, with 750 employees based at twelve offices in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and England. Founded in 1951 by the young architect Sid White, the practice worked towards the principle that good architecture leads to an improved society, a view that is still a guiding light 60 years on. White has grown exponentially from its beginnings in housing, now covering a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare and commercial. The practice also commands a very broad spectrum of expertise including architecture, master-planning, urban design, project management, landscape, interior design and project design. As pioneers in the environmental area, White's projects are visionary examples of sustainable architecture, without sacrificing the aim to understand the clients and users, presenting them with attractive solutions.

Multidisciplinary teams collaborate on each project, where experts in totally different areas come together to create solutions that are satisfactory to everyone. Innovative solutions can be delivered thanks to the proprietary White Innovation Process (WIP), a method to attain the best and most sustainable solutions in interplay with all stakeholders - especially those who will use the building upon its completion. By involving and inspiring these people, well grounded visions, relevant objectives and cost-efficiency can be ensured.

White is able to deliver groundbreaking ideas to clients thanks to its position as a leader of new knowledge, fostered through a unique R&D division, Kunskapsbygget. No other architectural practice has such an extensive organization to handle experience and disseminate new knowledge.

Given White’s status as Scandinavia’s largest office, it’s important that the visual representation of our designs corresponds to the unique context within which we work. In this region specifically, a focus on light, materials, and local context is crucial to the success of our visualizations, both in competition and design development phases.

We look forward to receiving your application!

Your CV and Portfolio should be sent by February 1, 2015 at the latest, to: Scott Grbavac, Architect.
