10/12/2014We are looking for an enthusiastic post part 3 architect to join our West London based multi-award winning creative practice to work on exciting cultural, institutional and educational projects in historically sensitive locations. The chosen candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills matched by a very high level of technical knowledge and proven design team coordination abilities delivered on projects in the UK. Fluency in Vectorworks, InDesign, SketchUp and Photoshop is essential.

Project Architect
10/12/2014HKS is looking for design and technical savvy Project Architects for its mid-Atlantic offices in DC and Richmond with experience in healthcare, federal and/or commercial sectors.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Assignments may include higher-level work for training/development purposes.
- Responsible for the quality and content of the construction documentation. Coordinates all project team efforts to facilitate effective execution of project design and the delivery of construction documents.
- Coordinates design group interaction both internally and externally.
- Assist in development of production schedule and manages to that schedule.
- Assist in development of job costs, job budget, and manpower projections.
- Assist in management of project financial performance.
- Exercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issues.
- Supervise a project team of architects.
- Mentors team members and helps nurture young talent.
- Aptitude and passion for design and design implementation/execution/coordination.
Education and experience:
- Typically a minimum of 8+ years’ experience.
- Architectural Registration required.
- BIM expertise required.
- Strong technical knowledge, including Revit software, required.
- Experience carrying a project from Design through Construction Administration Required.
- Experience on both small and large scale project types Required.
- Experience in Healthcare and/or Commercial Strongly Preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create relationships with client representatives.
